The emphasis of these cassettes is on re-useability. All components are built to last, to overcome a world-wide supply shortage of plastic 8x11mm cassettes. Plastic cassettes were last made in the 1990's and last sold in Japan in 2015.

The Minox is the only subminiature which can use ANY 35mm film cut down to a 8mm size.
