The Naze at Walton, Essex, is a stunning backdrop to the beaches with a wide variety of features to allow a range of images to be made, and this workshop runs from late afternoon to dusk, hopefully including a colourful sunset.

This is a more specialised workshop concentrating on coastal photography, from wider seascapes to details of beaches. You'll need to be happy with your ability to control your camera, either because you've attended my 'Know The Basics' workshop, or because you've already learnt the basics yourself. A tripod will be hugely beneficial for this sort of photography, especially as we'll be shooting into late evening.

We spend the afternoon indoors, with a slideshow and discussion looking at techniques and subjects available for sea and shore photography, from composition, lighting, subject matter, long exposures and more.

After a short break we will head down to the beach to put these techniques into practice, with everyone getting some one-to-one time whilst we're there. We will have approximately 3 hours shooting time, running from late afternoon, through sunset, to dusk.
