In early 2015, James got interested in landscape photography as a hobby which morphed into founding and running his own film developing, scanning and darkroom printing lab - Zone Imaging Lab - at the beginning of 2020.

He has worked with Solarcentury in the past as work experience to gain knowledge of renewable energy engineering and the general structure of an energy company.

James, a scholar at City of London School, directed and organised environmental campaigns at R.H.N., a not-for-profit organisation which raised money for the EIA during his school years. He was thus featured in their bi-annual magazine - The Investigator.
