London Photographic evening WORKSHOP - Saturday, 16 march - SOLD OUT

Abstract photography - find your unique Creative Eye! - SOLD OUT

Saturday, 16 March 17:15-18:45

Discover the relationship between light and shadow, colour, shapes and texture and how they can interact to create some stunning imagery from everyday situations.

Realism in photography is a natural thing. Abstract photography challenges your creativity and the imagination of the viewer because it is a means of depicting a visual image that has no immediate association with the object world.

Join us on this session which is a mix of theory and task-based challenges. We will provide you with a series of camera tips and techniques to try out.

This workshop is aimed at:

• All abilities
• Any camera or smartphone
• Any lens

Pop-up cyanotype workshops - Saturday, 16 March

Cyanotope 350

Join analogue photography aficionado Rachel Brewster for these pop-up cyanotype workshops - for one day only! Learn about the history and traditional process of cyanotype printing, which dates from the 1840s, and get hands-on to make your own print to takeaway. Rachel will be joined by photographic historian Rose Teanby, who will be on hand to share the story of photo pioneer Anna Atkins, marking her 220th birthday. Anna used these processes in her work, and is often considered the first ever female photographer.

The workshops will be held on stand F73 and do not require advanced booking. Just turn up and go!
